Announcement for participation

Pokhara University Research Center (PURC), Gandaki Province Academy of Science and Technology (GPAST), and National Young Academy of Nepal (NaYAN) are jointly organizing a workshop on “Predatory academic practices in South Asia” in collaboration with Global Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies (GISS), Indian National Young Academy of Sciences (INYAS), National Young Academy of Bangladesh (NYAB), and Sri Lanka Young Academy of Sciences (SLYAS). The workshop aims to discuss and provide hands-on training on how to identify predatory journals and conferences and how to avoid them.

We have a space available for maximum 40 in-person participants and 250 virtual participants.

Financial support: Selected in-person participants will be provided with transportation support.
